Directions
This is my preferred route here by road: When travelling south or west towards Devon and Cornwall, at Exeter continue on the M5 and follow signs for Plymouth A38 AKA “Devon Expressway”. Take care to keep to the right hand lanes shortly after Exeter as there are two sections where the left hand lanes take you on to the A30 which you don’t need, then shortly after Torquay, which you also don’t need.
The A38 is dual carriage way all the way to Plymouth, keep on it, crossing the Tamar road bridge and pass through the Saltash Tunnel, The Tamar Bridge is a toll bridge. You don’t pay going into Cornwall, on the way back it’s presently £1.50 (as at January 2012).
After the tunnel follow the road up the hill and go straight over at the roundabout following signs to Liskeard / Looe. Most of this road is a 50 mile limit. After about eight miles you come to Trerulefoot Roundabout. Turn left, sign posted Looe. Following the hill down and after about a mile, take the first right, sign posted Looe. Keep following this road for eight miles, which is single carriage way, and you will drop down into Looe.
Drive through Looe going over the estuary / river bridge and follow the sign to Polperro. You don’t go as far as Polperro and after about two miles turn right at the signpost to Pelynt B3359, and again after another two miles you arrive in Pelynt. The road slows down to thirty MPH and you will see the Jubilee Inn on your right, two flag poles outside, and our large car park is on the right.
Checking in
Residents arriving to check in are advised to park about half way up the car park on the left, leave their luggage in the car then walk down to our reception / bar to check in. We will show you to your room and the side car park door which is on the first floor and level with the car park. It’s easier to take luggage in that way and please ask for help with it if you wish.
