Car park
Located to the right of the inn, please enter and leave through the left hand routes. The car park is mainly level with a gentle slope towards the main entrance.
Entrances to the Jubilee Inn
Pool & Albert Bar Entrance
Located on the corner near the car park. No steps with level access to all areas of the ground floor, external areas, courtyard, patio and beer garden at rear of the inn. (This is the most suitable entrance for wheelchair access)
Main Entrance
Located at front of the main building, there are steps leading from the pavement and a final step from the path running between the car park and main entrance. A hand rail is available at this step if needed.
Night entrance for residential guests
Located at the side of the car park and accessed by two small steps on the path leading to the door. From there level access can be made to three of our eleven accommodation rooms: Rooms 11, 12 and 14.
Corridor to other accommodation rooms
Along the remaining first floor corridors there are a number of single, double and treble steps and one flight of four steps. Hand rails have been installed at appropriate points.
Main internal staircase
The Tower Staircase (an architectural feature designed by Stuart Armfield RA and built in 1953) is a spiral staircase with hand rails on both sides. This leads to the ground floor and level access to all other areas
Other points to note:
First floor
Accommodation Rooms 2 and 3
In both of these rooms there is a single step between the bedroom and en suite bathroom.
Accommodation Rooms 4 and 11
Both bathrooms have a shower cubicle with a small step.
All Accommodation Rooms with Bath
All baths have been installed on a level basis, none raised or sunken
Ground Floor
Trelawny Room
Situated opposite the Dining Room, the Trelawny Room has a patio door leading onto the courtyard where there is a small single step.
Toilets
Disabled Toilet
Accessed via the main bars and is totally level. A “distress” alarm is installed and there are also baby changing facilities.
Ladies Toilet
Accessed via the main bars. Inside the ladies loo there are two steps leading up to the basin and cubicles.
Gents Toilet
Accessed via the covered courtyard a few short steps from the main bar area. Inside the gents loo there are two steps leading to the urinal and cubicle.
Outside
Covered stable courtyard and open air patio
All areas are paved and are, in the main level with occasional gentle inclines.
Beer garden
Accessed ONLY via the main inn and patio. This area is sloping and guests must be aware that, as usual in a rural area, there are parts where tree roots protrude and inclement weather may make it slippery. That said, go and see the beautiful view over the farm next door and the view overlooking Pelynt Church.
Tradesmen’s entrance
Located at the left / downhill side on the inn. This is solely for trade deliveries and members of the public are not permitted to use this entrance or exit (unless in the case of an emergency). The path is sloping and although covered by granite chippings, care must be taken if using this access or exit. An automatic light operates at night to illuminate the path.
Both Floors
Fire Exits & Fire Alarms
All fire exits from both the first and ground floors are signed in accordance with Fire and Health & Safety Regulations. We are also visited by the Fire Officer and work with him and other governing bodies to ensure the Jubilee Inn is up to date with safety measures, signage and procedures.
